Why the nose?
Being just 3 inches from the brain, the intranasal channel is the most efficient channel for photobiomodulation of the ventral (underside) brain area.

How it Works?
The Neuro Duo 4 has 5 Vie-LED modules that emit pulsed 810nm near-infrared light to stimulate the brain cells without generating heat. Our design efficiently produces the highest amount of power in the market (about 208-301 mW/cm2 irradiance, 200-300% of sunlight’s intensity).
The Vagus comes with a intranasal applicator that is inserted in the nasal cavity. It also comes with 2 bilateral neck modules that sit on the left and right sides of the neck. Its flexible steel band accomodates to different neck sizes.
What are the Alpha and Gamma modes?
- The Neuro Duo 4 grants access to both the Alpha and Gamma pulse rates.
- The Gamma mode pulses near-infrared light energy at 40 Hz, which has a neuromodulating effect on Gamma brain waves. This increases focus, information processing, memory, and brain energy levels.
- The Alpha mode pulses near-infrared light energy at 10 Hz, which has a neuromodulating effect on Alpha brain waves. This has effects on the brain’s resting state, offering support for mindfulness, learning, relaxation, and sleep improvement.

How often should I use the Neuro Duo 4 and the Vagus together?
Our general recommendation is to use both devices once a day, 6 days a week. They are timed for 20 minutes per session.
When it comes to the Neuro Duo 4, we recommend alternating between Alpha and Gamma modes. The Gamma mode is best used in the morning or early afternoon. The Alpha mode is ideal for nighttime and just before going to bed.
